The 4-pocket, m35 luftwaffe service tunic features an open collar cut, silver buttons and turned cuffs. All the details of the original blue-grey Tuchrock are present, including the sewn-in shoulder straps.
It also comes with 2 pairs of vertically aligned slashes for belt hooks. These are stitched but can be opened with a seam ripper, should the wearer required.
This version also has yellow shoulder boards and yellow collar piping as was standard pre / early war. Collar tabs are available in the Insignia Section.
The tuchrock was the standard service and going out jacket for all Luftwaffe personnel since it's formation. Later on, it was issued along with the fliegerbluse for formal / dress occasions. Both officers and enlisted men could buy private-purchase jackets made from finer Tricot Material that was comfortable to wear in office and while flying. Well into the war, flying troops kept to these tunics against regulations as can be seen from photos of Pilots and Fallschirmjager during the invasion of the Low Lands.
