Based on patterns of original garments, this 2nd model m40 fliegerbluse is intended for the re-enactor who wants to do it right. No corners were cut in the production of this garment. Very thick wool ensures that it will serve the wearer well in cold and winter climates, like the original.
In addition, it has the original details: Artificial silk (Rayon) gray lining. Collar hooks. Belt Hook holes. Pebbled buttons, etc.
This M40 Fliegerbluse comes with a pre-sewn breast eagle with blue-grey embroidery, using the correct zig-zag stitching. Golden yellow (Flight) piped shoulder straps are also included. The second model fliegerbluse was introduced in December 1940 and featured, primarily, two external pockets with flaps. the front closes with buttons that are hidden by a flap. The neck can be closed by hooks but was usually worn with an open neck. The fliegerbluse was issued to all Luftwaffe personnel, including paratroopers, flight crew, and ground crew.
